Interpreting Skills:

·        NIC (National Interpreter Certification) Certification – Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf & National Association of the Deaf

·        Full-time internship at Chemeketa Community College

 Interpreted: “Math 20”, “Math 60”, Reading and Writing Courses, and an Early Childhood Education course

·        High scores on all sections of the NIC Knowledge Exam

·        Completion of practicum in Human Sexuality class at Western Oregon University

·        Volunteer Service Support Provider at Seabeck, Washington, Retreat for Deaf-Blind adults, communicated audio and visual information to four Deaf-Blind campers, adapted use of ASL for tactile and limited my signing space for variety of visual impairments

·        Volunteer for Oregon School for the Deaf assisted Deaf teacher of a community ASL courses for children ages 5 to 10 years old

·        Volunteer at Chestnut Lane, Assisted Living for Deaf and Deaf-Blind planned and participated in various social activities: BINGO, cooking, crafts, games

·        Educational Advisor at TRiO Student Support Service at Western Oregon University: advise some deaf and hard of hearing students using ASL
